Jacquelyn M. Briskey, CPA, CVA, CFE Principal
Jacque is the Principal of Consulting Professionals of Alaska. She is a CPA, as well a Certified Valuation Analyst and Certified Fraud Examiner. She has over 25 years experience providing accounting services to both large and small clients, and over 15 years working with members of the legal community.
Jacque was raised surrounded by the automotive industry in the Motor City, Detroit, Michigan. She graduated magna cum laude from Lawrence Technological University in 1979 with a degree in Business Administration and an accounting concentration. She was licensed as a CPA in Michigan in 1981 and in Alaska in 1986.
In 1984, Jacque along with her husband Jim and their 4-legged "family", picked up roots and moved north to Alaska. She enjoys traveling, gardening and a variety of activities in her church community. Jacque and Jim have 2 "dog faced" children - "Peggy Sue" (6), a Tri-pawed Husky and "Max" (11), a flat-coated retriever.
Jacque is a member of the AICPA, National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and Alaska Society of CPAs, which she previously served as president. Jacque is also facilitates the Alaska affiliate for Becker CPA Review, a preparation course for the Uniform CPA Exam.
Carrie Garrity Associate
Carrie has over 10 years?
experience in a variety of positions from bookkeeping/marketing for the Sturgis
Motorcycle Rally and accounting for a fine dining restaurant, to managing an
international computer graphics conference and operations of a data management
sales company. In 2010, Carrie cut her
teeth in taxes with Liberty Tax Service. She joined Consulting Professionals of
Alaska in 2011, and has now decided to take additional classes to become a CPA.
Carrie grew up the Black
Hills of South Dakota, attending Sturgis
Brown High
School and surviving the rowdy years of the
Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. After
graduating from Black Hills State University
with a Bachelor?s in Tourism/Business Management, she moved to Colorado where she met
her husband John.
John, a member of the U.S.
Army, quickly moved her to Italy,
Washington D.C.,
Louisiana, and now Alaska.
During this time, the family grew with two children, Kyle (6) and Katrin
(4), and a yellow lab, Troon (7). To
occupy her spare time, Carrie completed her MBA in the fall of 2006.
When not performing the
duties of wife, mother, or employee, Carrie enjoys reading, running, and
traveling. Last summer, she finally met
her goal of completing a half-marathon , times two. To add to all that, she has also remodeled
two of her homes with the help of her father.
